Invading Russian forces are transferring Soviet 100mm MT-12 Rapira anti-tank guns to the west of Ukraine’s Russian-occupied Crimea, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported on April 14.
The occupiers are transporting weapons through Yevpatoria, from Chornomorske to Rozdolne.
The weapons will reportedly be used to defend Crimea’s western coast. In particular, the Russians are deploying howitzers along the second line, a few kilometers from the trench-strewn beaches.
Ukraine will use any weapon not prohibited by international law to liberate the temporarily occupied Crimea, said Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council secretary Oleksiy Danilov.
Ukraine is considering both military and diplomatic ways to liberate Crimea, said First Deputy Foreign Minister Emine Dzhaparova on April 14.
