Two injured, one in hospital after multiple Russian drone attacks on Zmiiv, Kharkiv Oblast

Two people were injured after Russian forces launched at least six drone attacks on the town of Zmiiv in Kharkiv Oblast overnight on Jan. 30, Kharkiv Regional Military Administration head, Oleh Synehubov, reported.

Civilian businesses and homes were also damaged in the attacks.

A 52-year-old man is in hospital because of his injuries, while a 61-year-old man was treated on the scene.

Russia attacked more than 15 settlements in Kharkiv Oblast with artillery and mortar shelling during the day. Airstrikes further pounded the settlements of Velykyi Burluk, Khatne, Petropavlivka, Pishchane, and Berestove.

Russia launched 35 kamikaze drones at various regions of Ukraine on Jan. 30, with air defenses neutralizing 15, Ukraine’s Air Force reported.

Russia also attacked Ukraine with several groups of combat drones overnight on Jan. 29. A series of explosions was heard in Zmiiv, Kharkiv Oblast, while air defense systems in Kyiv Oblast were also operational.
