A 17-year-old girl was killed and at least nine others, including a 16-year-old boy, were injured in a Russian missile attack on the Ukrainian city of Berestyn, Kharkiv Oblast Governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on Telegram early on Nov. 18.

Seven victims were hospitalized with injuries. Two others experienced acute stress reactions.

“A 17-year-old girl who was seriously injured in the missile attack on the city of Berestyn died in the hospital,” Syniehubov wrote.

According to the Ukrainian Air Force, the enemy fired at least two missiles. One of them hit Berestyn, while the other flew over the city toward Poltava Oblast.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
