Russian Shahed swarm torches Vinnytsya, seven injured
At least seven people were injured in a massive Russian drone attack on the Ukrainian administrative center of Vinnytsya overnight, the Regional Military Administration reported early on July 16.
Five of the victims suffered burns of varying degrees. Two are in serious condition.
The enemy targeted two industrial sites in the city, setting them on fire. One of the fires has been contained. Efforts to extinguish the other fire are ongoing.
Infrastructure facilities and four apartment buildings were also damaged.
Air defenses shot down 18 of the 28 Shahed attack drones that Russian forces launched at the city.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
