Russian friendly fire destroys troops, equipment near Kharkiv
In a major friendly fire incident, a Russian attack helicopter destroyed a large grouping of invading forces in Mala Rohan, near Kharkiv, head of the regional administration Oleh Synehubov said on March 24.
Synehubov said he hopes this is not the last time that the Russians suffer “another fiasco” at the hands of their own military.
“Early this morning, a Russian helicopter has ‘thoroughly executed’ (an attack) on the positions of its own numerous troops and equipment in Mala Rohan,” the official said.
“These were the forces that systematically shelled Kharkiv using artillery and MLRS.”
Kharkiv, Ukraine’s second-largest city prior to the war, has suffered from consistent attacks by Russian forces since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine.
