Moldovan police discover wreckage of suspected Russian Gerbera drone

The wreckage of a drone equipped with a camera and containing components consistent with a Russian Gerbera UAV was discovered in Moldova on September 24, the Moldovan police reported.
Bomb technicians from the Moldovan explosives unit identified components characteristic of a Russian Gerbera drone.
Law enforcement agencies noted that this marks the first time a UAV of this specific configuration has been detected in Moldova, specifically highlighting that the aircraft was equipped with a camera in its nose.
Technical teams concluded that the drone hit a tree before falling to the ground and exploding.
Forensic investigators are continuing to examine the wreckage to determine the drone's exact model, manufacturer, and technical specifications, with final identification pending confirmation by specialized laboratory analysis.
A drone crashed in Romania’s Suceava County earlier on the morning of September 24, forcing schools across four towns to suspend classes amid threats of further strikes. Romania immediately scrambled two F-16 fighter jets after the target entered national airspace. The drone traveled through Romanian airspace for approximately four minutes before crashing.
Russian forces launched a large-scale missile and drone attack against Ukraine overnight on September 24. Ukrainian Air Defense Forces intercepted seven Iskander and Zircon missiles and 219 UAVs.
