Russian invaders advancing toward Maryinka, Pisky in Donbas, says Ukraine’s General Staff

Russian invading forces are conducting offensive operations in the directions of Maryinka and Pisky in the Avdiyivka area in the Donbas, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a Facebook post on Aug. 11.
The fighting continues, it said.
The Ukrainian military said the enemy had carried out artillery fire near Maryinka, Vodiane, Netailove, Avdiyivka, Pisky, Opytne, and Krasnohorivka. In addition, the invaders launched an air strike near Avdiyivka.
In the Kramatorsk area, the enemy used rockets and tank fire near Siversk, Verkhniokamianske, Serebrianka, and Hryhorivka. The invaders also conducted offensive actions near Hryhorivka and Verkhniokamianske, but failed and retreated. Fighting continues in the Ivano-Darivka area.
In the Bakhmut area, the Russians fired at Ukrainian troops using tanks and artillery near Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Pereizne, Vesele, Bakhmutske, Vesela Dolyna, Yakovlivka, Vershyna, and Zaitseve.
The enemy also launched air strikes near Vyimka, Spirne, Soledar, Bakhmut, and Zaitseve.
“The invaders conducted reconnaissance in force near Yakovlivka,” the report says.
“Our soldiers drove the invaders back. The enemy unsuccessfully conducted offensive and assault operations near Bakhmutske and Zaitseve. The enemy retreated with losses. Fighting continues near the villages of Vershyna and Dacha.”
The General Staff added that in the Novopavlivske and Zaporizhzhya areas, shelling from artillery, rockets, and tanks was recorded near Novomykhailivka, Mala Tokmachka, Malynivka, Lukianivske, Vuhledar, Novodanylivka, Vremivka, Bilohiria, Burlatske, and Kushuhum.
The invaders also used aviation near Novomykhailivka, Prechystivka and Zolota Nyva. They tried to advance near Pavlivka, but Ukrainian soldiers resolutely suppressed the enemy’s attempts, the General Staff said.
