The Russian invaders shelled the center of Kherson three times overnight on Aug. 7, killing a woman and injuring another 11 people, including two rescuers, the region’s governor, Oleksandr Prokudin, reported on Telegram.

The Russian troops struck a nine-story residential building and killed a woman. The attack started a fire, Presidential Office head, Andriy Yermak, wrote on Telegram.

In a horrific night for residents, Russia attacked the same civilian apartment block three times overnight, leading to eight residents reporting a neurotic reaction and hospitalizing one disabled person, Prokunin added.

Two rescuers suffered injuries while putting out the resulting fire. They were taken to hospital due to heatstroke.

The second attack on the building came 30 minutes later, with an artillery shell killing a 59-year-old woman and giving a 60-year-old man a contusion.

The building was hit for an incredible third time a short while later, with a 93-year-old woman receiving trauma and a contusion as a result.

Russia also shelled the center of Kherson on Aug. 3. They twice hit St. Catherine’s Cathedral and destroyed a trolleybus. Three passengers were injured, as well as four rescuers who suffered from repeated shelling while extinguishing the flames.

The evening, occupiers hit a shopping mall and a medical facility in Kherson's center.
