A drone of “unknown origin” has been found near the Polish village of Mniszków in the Łódź Voivodeship (province), about 300 km from the Ukrainian border, RMF24 reported on Sep. 10, posting photos of the drone with clear visible markings in Russian on the tail fin.
The drone, which had likely run out of fuel, was found intact in an open field.
"I confirm that the drone was found. The services are already working on site, so I cannot provide more detailed information,” said Mayor Marcin Baranowski, adding that “no one was injured.”
Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that at least two dozen Russian drones could have entered Polish airspace. Kyiv is working on verifying this information.
Moscow always escalates and "tests the limits of the possible."
Zelenskyy called it "an extremely dangerous precedent for Europe."
Ukrainian officials are certain that this was a deliberate move by Russia and are calling for a strong response.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
