Russian army hits Shostka with 13 missiles, leaving 45 homes without heating

Russian forces launched 13 missiles at Shostka in Sumy Oblast, according to Volodymyr Artiukh, head of the Sumy Oblast Military Administration, during a telethon on Dec. 31.

At 3 a.m., Russian forces launched four missiles at Shostka’s infrastructure, followed by nine more at 8 a.m., damaging key facilities, including three boiler rooms and water intake stations, leaving 45 homes without heating, said Volodymyr Artiukh.

He added that heating would be restored during the day.

Earlier, Mykola Noha, head of the Shostka community, reported that 12 apartment buildings, two schools, and other social facilities were damaged.

On the night of December 31, Russia launched shaheed drones and missiles at Ukraine, with Kyiv air defense downing one Kinzhal missile, five Kh-69 missiles, and 16 drones.
