Worried about a Ukrainian breakthrough, Russian occupiers fortify positions near Mariupol
Russian occupiers are constructing fortifications near Mariupol, Mariupol mayoral advisor Petro Andriushchenko, reported on Sep. 6.
Russia is building and fortifying positions near the village of Nikolske, toward Rozivka. More specifically, they are setting up bunkers. Military equipment is also being transported in civilian trucks, where they attempt to disguise them as "trees."
"We continue to monitor movements and deployments," Andriushchenko wrote on Telegram.
Resistance in Mariupol reported that in the temporarily occupied city, guerrillas managed to eliminate 21 Russian military personnel during the summer.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
