Russian occupation authorities accelerating forced displacement of Ukrainians

Russian occupation authorities are increasing the pace of forced evictions of Ukrainians from the occupied territories, the National Resistance Center of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on Jan. 16.
Reportedly, the Russian oblasts of Voronezh, Sverdlovsk, Kursk, Rostov, and Krasnodar have received additional funds for the resettlement of Ukrainians.
However, these funds are allegedly being stolen, with forcibly-resettled Ukrainians placed in unsanitary conditions in abandoned sanatoriums and dormitories.
“It should be noted that in order to create a basis for the so-called evacuation, the Russians first halt the work of social institutions and intensify their shelling in order to make the life of the locals unbearable," the Center explainrd.
