Russian propagandist Krasovsky, advocating killing Ukrainian children, sentenced to five years in prison

A well-known Kremlin propagandist and former Russia Today TV channel director was sentenced in absentia for his calls to kill Ukrainian children, the Prosecutor General's Office reported on Facebook on Aug. 13.

The court found the former director of Russia Today guilty of public calls for genocide (Part 2 of Art. 442 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) by maintaining a public accusation by prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office.

The department does not mention the name of the Russian propagandist, but it is most likely Anton Krasovsky.

The court found the former director of the Russian propaganda TV channel Russia Today guilty of public calls for genocide and violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order (Part 2, Article 442, Part 3, Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to the maximum punishment possible under the sanctions of the articles — 5 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Anton Krasovsky publicly called for "drowning and burning of Ukrainian children" in one of the broadcasts of his author's program on Russia Today in 2022.

Ukrainian expertise recognized later that the propagandist's statements were public calls for the genocide of Ukrainians.

Anton Krasovsky was sentenced in absentia to five years in prison, the SBU press service reported on Feb. 17, 2023.

The SBU charged Krasovsky of another suspicion on Aug. 18, 2023, specifying that he was hiding from Ukrainian justice abroad.
