Russian attack on Ukrainian Navy ship kills one sailor and injures several others

Russian invaders attacked a Ukrainian Navy ship, killing one crew member and wounding others, the Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk told Ukrinform on Aug. 28.

According to him, efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing. Most crew members are safe, while several sailors remain missing.

Russian pro-Kremlin Telegram channels are spreading claims that the vessel is allegedly the Ukrainian Navy reconnaissance ship Simferopol.

No official information has been released regarding the type of ship that was struck.
