Russian advanced T-90 tank rendered useless after falling into shell hole
The Russian state-of-the-art T-90 Breakthrough tank, often highlighted in Kremlin propaganda for its effectiveness, was rendered useless after it became trapped in a crater, leading Russian forces to abandon it.
Ukraine's 47th Mechanized Brigade demonstrated in a video how a routine shell hole unexpectedly incapacitated the highly touted Russian armor. "Either the Russians somehow failed to notice it, or they simply overestimated the tank's capabilities, the result was clear: the tank was immobilized," the brigade shared.
Upon realizing that the T-90 could no longer "break through," the crew abandoned the tank and retreated to safety, cautious of approaching Ukrainian drones.
Following the incident, one of the tank crew members sustained injuries, and the tank was left destroyed.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
