Russians advance near Ocheretyne and Klishchiivka in Donetsk Oblast — DeepState analysts
Russian troops advanced near the Donetsk Oblast settlements of Arkhanhelske, Umanske, and Ocheretyne, with progress also seen in Klishchiivka near Chasiv Yar, DeepState analysts reported on May 25.
Fighting continues near Berestove and Krasnohorivka in Donetsk Oblast, as well as in Vovchansk in Kharkiv Oblast.
Frontline situation as of May 25
The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reported on May 24 that the situation remains most difficult in the Kupyansk, Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, and Kharkiv sectors. Ukrainian troops are pushing the enemy back in Kharkiv Oblast and are succeeding in some areas. The situation is tense near Petropavlivka and Ivanivka.
The General Staff noted that the Russians have not given up on taking Chasiv Yar and have had partial success in the Pokrovske sector.
The day before, the Institute for the Study of War reported that Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to push the Russians back from some positions near Lukianets (Kharkiv Oblast) and Kreminna (Luhansk Oblast), while the Russians are advancing near Berestove, Avdiivka, Velyka Novosilka, and west of Donetsk.
