Invading Russian forces continues to severely pressure defensive Ukrainian positions along the front lines in Donbas, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a Facebook post on June 1.

According to the General Staff, the Russian air force, artillery, mortars, and MLRS are all operating to inflict maximum damage to Ukrainian troops all across the region.

Near Lyman, the Russian military is regrouping recently arrived airborne regiments, aiming to advance towards Staryi Karavan, with close air support from Ka-52 attack helicopters.

Fighting is ongoing in Severodonetsk’s northern, southern, and eastern districts, with some Russian squads digging into the city center.

Near Bakhmut, Russia is attempting to push Ukrainian forces away from Bilohorivka and Vrubivka. Moscow’s air power is heavily engaged around Kamyshevakha, Berestove, and Nyrkove.

Russia's war against Ukraine is in its fourth month.
