Russian troops enter Vuhledar from two directions
Russian forces have entered Vuhledar, Donetsk Oblast, from the west and south, according to a report by Deep State OSINT (open-source intelligence) project on Sept. 30.
“Today, the enemy is not only shelling the central part of the city, where [Ukrainian] Defense Forces continue to resist, but also moving their infantry within the city and inside high-rise buildings,” the statement said.
It was noted that Russian flags have been raised in the western part of the city.
On Sept. 29, DeepState reported that Russian troops were attempting to secure positions in high-rise buildings on the outskirts of Vuhledar.
On Sept. 24, the analysts indicated that the situation around Vuhledar was critical and worsening, with the Russian military trying to encircle the city while simultaneously destroying it with artillery and glide bombs.
