Kazan imam demonstrates on Russian TV how to punish disobedient wives

Russian television channel Tatar-Inform has published a video featuring an imam from Kazan, Timur Kamaev, who explained to Russian citizens how they should properly punish their wives, Russian Telegram channel Astra reported on July 16.

If a wife disobeys her husband, she should be beaten with a special stick, Kamaev said.

The imam demonstrated the "proper" way to do this to avoid leaving bruises.

"Beating implies that the wife should understand she is doing something wrong," he said.

"There is a miswak, a small stick. Gently strike the wife several times with the miswak. The arm should move only from the elbow, meaning not using the full shoulder joint. Small strikes."
