A Russian agent who was involved in guiding Russian artillery and missile strikes onto Kharkiv has been exposed in the eastern Ukrainian city, Ukraine’s SBU security service reported on Jan. 30.

In addition, the Russian agent collected intelligence on the locations and routes of movement of Ukrainian army units.

The Russian military used the information to prepare and conduct targeted missile strikes.

SBU operatives detained the offender near a critical infrastructure facility while he was collecting information requested by Russia.

In accordance with Part 3 of Art. 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (unauthorized dissemination of information on the deployment of the Armed Forces), he faces up to 12 years in prison if found guilty.
