Ukrainian troops managed to repel a Russian assault near Toshkivka, Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a YouTube video on June 19.

“The enemy withdrew and is regrouping,” the military reported.

Russian forces in Luhansk Oblast are also attempting to advance from Orikhove to Hirske; fighting there is ongoing, while assaults towards Zolote have been successfully countered.

This has prevented the Russian command from putting more pressure on the city of Severodonetsk to the north, where urban combat has been ongoing for several weeks.
