The Russian army seems to have a lot of problems dealing with river crossings, even on its own territory, not even under fire.
The Russian military lost two combat vehicles and several soldiers while conducting a water obstacle crossing exercise, according to information published by a pro-Kremlin Telegram channel on March 14.
The incident reportedly took place in southern Russia.
While official authorities have not commented publicly, social media claims that several Russian soldiers went down with the equipment.
The number of casualties is unknown.
The cause of the incident is not yet known, however the condition of many of the Russian Armed Force’s archaic armored vehicles, it is perhaps not surprising that the vehicles and operators were rather unexpectedly transferred to Russia’s “submarine fleet.”
