Russian drone attack disrupts power in Sumy Oblast

Russia launched a drone attack on the Sumy municipality, causing disruptions in electricity supply, regional governor Oleg Hryhorov reported on Telegram on Dec. 14.
Some of the aerial targets were destroyed.
Throughout the day, the Air Force repeatedly announced sightings of Shahed drones in Sumy Oblast.
At 10:23 a.m., alerts indicated Shahed drones were moving toward Sumy, with further updates at 11:47 a.m. noting drones in the Sumy district heading towards the regional center. At 2:31 p.m., another warning came that drones were approaching Sumy from the north.

These attacks damaged civilian infrastructure, ignited fires, and caused power outages in parts of the city. Fortunately, preliminary reports indicate there were no casualties.
