Russian drones damage Kropyvnytskyi philharmonic and fire station — photos
A Russian drone attack overnight on July 28 sparked fires in
Kirovohrad Oblast, damaging the regional philharmonic building in Kropyvnytskyi,
according to regional
governor Andrii Raikovych.
On 11:18 a.m, Ukraine’s State Emergency Service said a building and firefighting
equipment belonging to one of its Kropyvnytskyi units were also damaged. The
personnel were in shelter at the time, so no injuries were reported.
Raikovych said firefighters were still working to extinguish
the blaze following the Russian attack. Emergency services are inspecting the
site. No fatalities or injuries have been confirmed.
The explosion damaged the philharmonic building with a blast
wave, he added.
Russia launched a combined drone and missile attack on
Ukraine during the night of July 28, triggering explosions in Kyiv,
Khmelnytskyi, Kirovohrad, and other oblasts.
Police reported at least five people were injured in Kyiv’s
Darnytskyi District.
