Shaheds enter Belarus during night attack on Ukraine
At least 10 Shahed drones entered Belarus on the night of
Dec. 6 during a Russian military attack on Ukraine, according to the Belarusian Hajun monitoring group.
According to the group, some drones entered Belarus directly
from Russia and traditionally passed through the “Belarusian corridor,” heading
toward the cities of Homel, Loiev, and Mozyr. The first drone entered at 10:07
p.m., followed by additional drones at 1:06 a.m., 1:23 a.m., 1:33 a.m., 1:40
a.m., 1:53 a.m., 1:56 a.m., 3:08 a.m., 3:34 a.m., and 3:36 a.m. local time.
The Belarusian Air Force did not deploy any aircraft
overnight.
According to Ukraine’s Air Force, Russian forces launched 53
Shahed strike drones and other types of UAVs from the Russian city of Orel on
the night of Dec. 6. Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 32 enemy UAVs.
Meanwhile, 16 drones were lost due to location issues, and two drones exited the
controlled airspace in the direction of Belarus.
Earlier, the Belarusian Hajun reported that at least 148 Russian Shaheds and three reconnaissance drones of unknown type entered Belarus’s airspace in November.
