Russian forces advanced in the town of Rodynske in Donetsk Oblast, the DeepState monitoring project reported on April 24.
The day before, Russian forces were reported advancing near the settlements of Hryshyne and Novooleksandrivka (Donetsk Oblast).
On April 17, DeepState said Russian forces had advanced in Rodynske and Chervonyi Lyman in Donetsk Oblast.
On April 9, analysts reported movement near Rodynske. That same day, Ukraine’s commander-in-chief, Oleksandr Syrskyi, stated that Russian activity near Pokrovsk remained particularly high.
On March 12, DeepState also wrote that Russian troops were sending infantry to assault the settlements of Rodynske and Hryshyne, probing for weak points in Ukraine’s defenses to move toward Kostiantynivka, and had increased activity near Huliaypole in Zaporizhzhya Oblast.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
