White House: Trump-Zelenskyy bilateral talks at G7 TBD
U.S. President Donald Trump will conduct multiple bilateral meetings with foreign leaders on the sidelines of the June 15-17 G7 summit in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said during a press briefing on June 11.
The presidents of Ukraine, Mexico, and Brazil are expected to attend the summit.
“I can confirm there will be quite a few bilateral meetings between the president and foreign leaders. The White House is still working to finalize that schedule and we will provide it as soon as we have it,” she said, not specifying whether a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had already been scheduled.
Earlier, Zelenskyy confirmed that he had been invited to attend the 51st G7 summit by Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.
The G7 summit brings together leaders from seven of the world’s advanced economies to discuss global issues and coordinate international policy.
