Kyiv Oblast damaged by falling UAV debris

21 August 2024, 01:16 PM

Falling fragments from Russian Shahed drones damaged a house and power lines in Kyiv Oblast, but there were no casualties, according to regional governor Ruslan Kravchenko on Aug. 21.

The air raid alert in Kyiv Oblast lasted over nine hours with no hits to critical or residential infrastructure. However, wreckage from a drone caused grass to catch fire in one district, which has been extinguished, according to the regional authorities.

Most drone debris fell in open areas outside populated centers, Kravchenko added.
