Ukraine adds another high-capacity evacuation train from Kharkiv to Ternopil
Ukraine’s state rail company, Ukrzaliznytsia, has prepared an additional evacuation train departing from Kharkiv to the city of Ternopil in western Ukraine, the company announced on March 2. A high-capacity double-decked Skoda train will be used for this.
Ukrzaliznytsia added that another evacuation, Kharkiv-Lviv, is departing at 1700.
Kharkiv has been the subject to some of the harshest assaults from invading Russian forces in the past week, with multiple reports of residential areas, the city center itself, and numerous Ukrainian government buildings all hit by Russian missile and rocket strikes.
