Ukraine, Bulgaria sign 10-year security pact

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Bulgarian
acting PM Andrey Gyurov singed a 10-year bilateral security agreement on March
30, during Gyurov’s visit to Kyiv.
“Hard work by our teams has produced this agreement,” Zelenskyy said at a joint news conference.
“We signed a 10-year security agreement between our countries, and I am very glad we have it.”
Zelenskyy said Bulgaria will continue to provide military support to Ukraine. He also highlighted plans for joint production of weapons, including drones, on the territories of both countries and said Bulgaria will use EU’s SAFE program funding for that co-production.
Energy cooperation and Bulgaria’s role in aiding Ukraine through international mechanisms were also discussed, Zelenskyy said.

March 30. Ukraine’s Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal met with Bulgarian Energy
Minister Traycho Traykov.
