Ukraine downs 42 missiles and drones
On the night of Sept. 2, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Ukraine with missiles and drones; Ukrainian air defense shot down 22 missiles and 20 drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
Russian forces launched 58 targets in a combined attack on Ukraine on Sept. 2, including ballistic and cruise missiles, anti-aircraft missiles, and Shahed drones.
Ukrainian air defense shot down 42 targets, including nine Iskander ballistic missiles, 13 Kh-101 cruise missiles, and 20 Shahed drones.
One Kh-101 missile and three UAVs failed to reach their targets.
Air defense systems were active in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Mykolaiv, and Zaporizhzhya oblasts.
In Kyiv, falling debris injured two people, with one hospitalized.
