Ukraine properly using US-supplied weapons, US State Department finds

Ukraine is effectively using the weapons supplied by the United States, with Washington having “strict oversight mechanisms in place,” the U.S. State Department’s spokesman Matthew Miller said at a briefing on Sept. 28.
“I will say that we have important accountability mechanisms in place for U.S. arms and the U.S. military assistance that we supply to Ukraine,” Miller said.
“We have strict oversight mechanisms that we’ve put in place. That also applies to humanitarian and economic aid that we’ve provided. And we’ve seen no diversion of those arms at this point.”
The Pentagon was establishing a new team in Ukraine to oversee U.S. aid to Kyiv, it was reported on Sept. 14. The move came as a growing number of Republican lawmakers called for greater oversight over the use of funds.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
