5 February 2024, 06:07 PM

The Eurovision 2024 National Selection final in Ukraine on Feb. 3 featured individual performances followed by a joint performance arranged by producer Dmytro Shurov.

Voting lines in the Diia app opened at 8:31 p.m. after scheduled performances, but the app crashed due to high load.

According to the program, following the performances of all invited stars, such as Tina Karol, Andriy Danylko, Jamala, and others, the participants revealed another surprise they had prepared for that day. The finalists performed a medley of Ukrainian songs, accompanied by Dmytro Shurov on the piano.

Shurov crafted a joint performance for the national selection finalists, blending classical Ukrainian music from the 1970s with contemporary artists in a medley tribute to the renowned Ukrainian musician Volodymyr Ivasyuk.

“I believe that developing traditions in all aspects of life is vital and needed,” said Shurov.

“Treating our history and future with equal respect and acceptance gives us the opportunity for an adequate ‘today’.”

A film showcasing photographs was displayed on the screen behind the performers, paying tribute to Ukrainian artists who inspired their songs.

The dedication number left a strong impression with the finalists’ impressive performance and preparation.
