The Ukrainian and German defense ministers, Mykhailo Fedorov
and Boris Pistorius, signed an agreement to jointly produce TerMIT
unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs) in Germany, the Ukrainian presidential press
service announced on June 18.
The agreement will allow the production and delivery of thousands of TerMIT systems to Ukrainian forces. Germany will finance the production, the statement said. The press service said the signing took place alongside President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and NATO Secretary‑General Mark Rutte.
Fedorov and Pistorius also signed an agreement to combine efforts on the development of ballistic missile defense systems.
“At Ramstein [Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting], together with Boris Pistorius, I signed an agreement to develop an anti‑ballistic program,” Fedorov said.
“It envisages joint work by Ukrainian and German companies
to design and produce modern interceptor missiles.”
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
