Russia rains 138 drones at Ukraine, 125 shot down

Russian forces launched 138 attack and imitation drones on Ukraine from Bryansk, Kursk, and Orel oblasts, as well as from the Shatalovo air base in Smolensk Oblast, the Ukrainian Air Force reported on Telegram on June 16.

The overnight attack was focused on Ukraine’s frontline Donetsk Oblast. Explosions were also reported in Kyiv, Sumy, and Khmelnytskyi oblasts.

A total of 125 drones were shot down or suppressed by electronic warfare.

Ten sites in various parts of the country were targeted. Eight other sites were damaged by debris from the downed drones.

At least two people were hospitalized in Kyiv after the attack.
