The air defense forces shot down all five Shahed 131/136 attack drones used by Russia to attack Ukraine on August 4, Ukrainian Air Forces Commander Mykola Oleschuk reported on Telegram.

In addition to drones, Russian forces attacked Kharkiv Oblast with two S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles and launched two Kh-59 guided air missiles from Kursk, targeting Poltava Oblast. Mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces and Air Force electronic warfare units were engaged in repelling the air attack.

The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.

Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.

For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
