Ukraine, Norway sign defense partnership declaration

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Norwegian
PM Jonas Gahr Støre signed a declaration on defense and security cooperation on
April 14, during Zelenskyy’s official visit to Norway.
“Ukraine remains a key priority of Norway’s foreign policy,” Støre said at a joint press conference.
“Today we signed a joint declaration to strengthen cooperation in defense and security.”
He added that Norway firmly supports Ukriane’s ongoing defense against Russian aggression, noting that Kyiv is the main recipient of Norwegian aid.
Zelenskyy arrived in Oslo on April 14 for planned meetings with the prime minister, the crown prince, and Norwegian MPs.
“Important meetings and the signing of a bilateral document that will help strengthen our security are planned,” the president said in a Telegram post.
Earlier the same day, Zelenskyy also visited Berlin and met
with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. At a joint news conference, Merz
announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine that includes air-defense
systems, drones, and ammunition from Germany.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
