During a nighttime UAV attack on the Russian Federation, a drone crashed on the territory of an oil depot in Kaluga, with no injuries or damage, the Russian Telegram channel Astra reported on Jan. 30
Russia has not yet released any further details but, according to Astra, the drone was shot down over the Kaluganaftoproduckt oil depot.
At the same time, the governor of the Kaluga oblast, Vladislav Shapsha, noted that the drone's wreckage fell on the roof of a non-residential building in the outskirts of Kaluga. He claimed that there were no fires or injuries.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that 21 Ukrainian drones that have allegedly been destroyed over Russian territory.
11 drones were reportedly shot down over Crimea, five over Belgorod Oblast, three over Bryansk Oblast, and one each over Kaluga and Tula oblasts.
The governor of the Bryansk Oblast, Alexander Bogomaz, said that a Ukrainian drone had attacked the region on Jan. 30, as well.
Also, on Jan. 30, a powerful explosion was heard in the Saki district of Crimea. The so-called governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said that, according to preliminary information, air defense forces shot down a drone over the water area near Belbek, where a large airbase is located.
What is known about Ukrainian attacks UAV on oil depots in Russia
On Jan.18, drones attacked the St. Petersburg oil terminal near the Leningrad Oblast of Russia.
Later it was revealed that the attack was a special operation of HUR. Moreover, one of the drones flew over the estates of Russian oligarchs and the palace of dictator Vladimir Putin.
On Jan. 21, a fire broke out in the port of Ust-Luga near St. Petersburg after several explosions. The fire engulfed the terminal of Novatek, Russia's largest independent natural gas producer.
Independent sources told NV that the attack on the marine terminal was a special operation of the SBU. This facility, in particular, processes fuel for the occupation forces.
The source told NV that the Ust-Luga Oil oil terminal is an important facility for the Russians. He added that a successful attack on such a terminal causes not only economic damage to the enemy, depriving the occupiers of the opportunity to earn money to wage war in Ukraine, but also significantly complicates the logistics of fuel for the Russian military.
On Jan. 29, a drone attacked an oil refinery in the Russian city of Yaroslavl. According to the Russians, they were able to intercept the UAV, so it allegedly did not cause any damage.
On Jan. 23, Russians reported an attack on an oil terminal in the Bryansk oblast.
