Ukraine’s Kursk operation aligns with US policy — Pentagon
Ukraine’s ongoing military operation in Russia’s Kursk Oblast does not contradict the U.S. escalation management policy, Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said at a press briefing on Aug. 8.
During the briefing, Singh stated that the United States has supported Ukraine from the outset in its defense against Russian aggression.
“They are taking measures to protect themselves from attacks originating from this region, which aligns with U.S. policy on where they can use our weapons,” Singh said.
She noted that while Washington does not support deep attacks into Russia, the current incursion into Kursk Oblast is considered "more of a crossfire."
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
