The Ukrainian Armed Forces are expecting US Bradley armored fighting vehicles (AFVs) to be sent to Ukraine soon, the country's military intelligence chief, Kyrylo Budanov, told ABC News in an interview on Jan. 4.
“We are waiting for them,” he said.
“We’re looking forward to them very much. This will significantly improve the combat ability of our units.”
Budanov also expressed gratitude for all the help that the United States provided to Ukraine and asked to continue to support his country.
“I promise it will not take too long now, and every taxpayer in the U.S. will be able to see where every cent went,” the officer said.
“We will change this world together.”
The Bloomberg news agency reported on Dec. 30 that the United States is considering the possibility of providing Ukraine with the Bradley AFVs as part of a military aid package.
