Ukraine’s troops on counteroffensive in some areas – General Staff
The Ukrainian military has “inflicted crushing blows” on groups of invading Russian troops in temporarily occupied territories and has even launched counteroffensives in some areas, according to the Ukrainian army command.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces said that the situation, position and nature of the actions of Ukraine’s defense forces have not undergone significant changes in recent days.
On the previous day, Ukraine’s air defenses destroyed three enemy aircraft (two of them Su-34 fighter-bombers). In addition, a helicopter, three UAVs and two cruise missiles were shot down. Further reports of enemy losses are being confirmed.
Ukraine’s Air Force is continuing to perform missile and bomb strikes against enemy ground targets. Nine raids were carried out on enemy columns and concentrations of invading troops.
In turn, the invading Russian forces are continuing to carry out missile and bomb strikes on the infrastructure and densely populated areas of Ukrainian cities.
The enemy continues to suffer losses and is in retreat in some areas, Ukraine’s army said, adding that the invading Russian force is now concentrating on securing and holding previously occupied lines and defensive areas.
