Ukraine submits its second EU accession progress report
The Ukrainian government has submitted its second report to the European Commission, outlining the progress of structural reforms mandated by the Kyiv’s EU accession process, the Cabinet announced on Sept. 10.
The 900-page document was compiled from data provided by 140 Ukrainian state bodies.
According to the announcement, the report contains updated information on state policies and legislation related to Ukraine's EU membership application, covering changes made from April to August 2024.
“This information will help the European Commission analyze where Ukraine stands currently,” said Olha Stefanishyna, Deputy PM for Euro-Atlantic Integration.
“We have diligently prepared to demonstrate Ukraine's maximum capability for swift and effective decisions and transformations on the path to the EU.”
The report supplements the information provided in the previous document submitted in April 2024, which covered the period from June 2023 to March 2024.
On Nov. 8, 2023, the European Commission recommended opening membership negotiations with Ukraine and Moldova.
