Ukraine testing digital mobilization deferments

16 July 2024, 08:55 PM

The Ukrainian government is currently testing a digital system of handling applications for deferment from mobilization, Deputy Defense Minister Kateryna Chernohorenko said on July 16.

Speaking to Ukrainian TV broadcasters, she suggested the service will soon be widely available.

“We are working together with our partners — Digital Transformation Ministry, the Economy Ministry, and the Pension Fund of Ukraine — on e-Deferment,” said Chernohorenko.

“Very soon, we will be able to fully launch this service for our businesses and companies, so they can save time and focus on contributing to the national economy.”

On June 27, Digital Transformation Ministry announced that the electronic deferment feature in Ukraine’s Diia e-governance app would be online in early July. Initially, the service will be available only for critically important enterprises.
