Very soon Ukraine will receive the weapons it needs to begin a major counteroffensive, Advisor to the Head of the President's Office Mykhailo Podolyak said on June 3.

“We’re already receiving some weapons, and are about to receive the rest,” Podolyak said, speaking on Ukrainian national television.

“But the timing is the problem. It would’ve been better to receive them a month ago in order to reduce the amount of casualties,” he added.

He said that Ukraine would soon receive all the weapons it needs.

“You will be able see that once our side starts more intense counter-offensive actions,” he said.

“Today we already have several counteroffensives. But once we get everything we need, it will be more intensified and the Ukrainian Armed Forces will show Russia that their ‘second biggest army in the world’ is located in the wrong part of the planet.”

It was reported earlier that Ukrainian soldiers have liberated more than 20 villages in Kherson Oblast, in the south of Ukraine.
