Russia launched 16 attack drones to attack Ukraine in the early hours of Dec. 30; Ukrainian defense forces shot down all enemy targets, the Air Force Command reported on Telegram on Dec. 30.
Russians tried to attack Ukraine from the southeastern and northern directions. They tried to use the channel of the Dnipro River to overcome Ukraine’s air defense system.
“All 16 kamikaze drones were destroyed by the forces and means of the Eastern and Central Air Commands, as well as air defense units of other components of the Defense Forces of Ukraine,” the message reads.
The Russian Federation launched a new attack using Iranian Shahed drones in the early hours of Dec. 30. Oleksiy Kuleba, the head of Kyiv Oblast Military Administration (OVA), reported that Russia once again targeted infrastructure facilities.
According to him, there were no hits in Kyiv Oblast.
In Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhya oblasts, the Defense Forces shot down 10 attack drones: nine Shaheds and one Marlin.
According to the capital city's authorities, five enemy drones were detected in Kyiv’s airspace. Air defense forces destroyed all targets.
One of the Shahed drones hit an administrative building in the Holosiyivskyi district in the capital city , as a result of which it was partially destroyed. Windows were damaged in a residential building nearby.
