Ukrainian Army shoots down multiple drones and a helicopter in overnight Russian attack
Ukrainian air defense intercepted six Shahed-136/131 attack drones Russia launched from different directions overnight on May 23, the Ukrainian Air Forces reported on Telegram.
Two Russian Merlin-VR reconnaissance drones were also downed.
Two of six Shaheds were intercepted over Mykolaiv Oblast by the South Air Command, announced Mykolaiv Oblast Governor Vitaliy Kim.
In the past day, a Ukrainian anti-aircraft soldier shot also down an enemy Mi-24 helicopter in Donetsk Oblast.
No victims were reported in the Russian attacks last night.
Russia conducted another overnight mass air attack on Ukraine the day before, launching 20 Shahed-136/131 drones and 16 various cruise and ballistic missiles. Ukrainian air defence managed to intercept all drones and four missiles.
