Ukrainian border guards fight off Russian attack with small arms and mortars

Ukrainian border guards repelled enemy attacks and eliminated two dozen invading Russian troops in Donetsk Oblast, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine wrote on Telegram on March 12.
The Russian infantry, with artillery support, stormed a stronghold of the Ukrainian border guards in Bakhmut, but were stopped with small arms and mortars, the message reads.
Ukrainian border guards also repelled attacks on two other strongholds in Donetsk Oblast in the past day. Ukrainian Aerial Reconnaissance registered the preparation of infantry units for an attack. Later, Ukrainian border guards repelled an offensive attempt with mortars, the message reads.
The state service reported nine occupiers eliminated and another twelve injured as the result of their attack.
