Ukraine takes out all 32 Russian Shahed drones in overnight attack
Ukrainian forces shot down 32 Russian-launched Shahed drones overnight, Ukrainian Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk reported on Telegram on July 5.
Russia launched 32 Shahed drones from Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Air Force's fighter aircraft, anti-aircraft missile units, Ukrainian Defense Forces' mobile fire groups, and electronic warfare units repelled the attack.
Ukrainian defenders shot down all 32 Shahed drones over Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson, Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Cherkasy oblasts.
Air raid alerts were issued in several oblasts, with air defense systems operating near the capital and in Kyiv Oblast.
The military war may be swinging in our favor, but the information war continues.
Just as an army needs soldiers, so does a free society need its journalists to ensure that people have access to honest, trustworthy voices to understand the world around them.
For the past five years, The New Voice of Ukraine has been working tirelessly to push back against Russian narratives and defend democracy. But we cannot do it alone.
