Ukrainian intelligence confirms Lukashenko has health problems
Belarusian dictator Alexander Lukashenko indeed has problems with his health, Ukrainian Military Intelligence spokesperson Andriy Yusov said on national television on May 15.
"Yes, we have information about Lukashenko's health problems. But we’re not going into details about it, for various reasons," Yusov said.
The Russian dictator Vladimir Putin’s state of health is of more importance, he added.
"After all, Putin's health is, of course, much more interesting for Ukraine and the world than talks about the Belarusian dictator's health," Yusov said.
Lukashenko has skipped several public events since the beginning of May.
He visited Putin’s May 9 parade in Moscow, but was apparently unable to walk 300 meters to lay flowers together with the Russian dictator and presidents of Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, as well as with the Prime Minister of Armenia.
Lukashenko's hand was also seen to be covered with a bandage.
Later, Deputy Chairman of the Russian government committee for the CIS, Konstantin Zatulin, confirmed to the Russian media that the Belarusian dictator is "just ill."
Pavel Latushka, Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus and former culture minister, said Lukashenko may have a viral infection with a complication - infectious-allergic myocarditis, according to some sources. The disease can cause heart problems.
Belarusian propagandists published on May 15 a photo of Lukashenko with a bandaged hand.
