The Defense Ministry says Umerov’s France trip not cancelled
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) refuted information that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov had canceled his visit to France over security concerns, as was previously reported by French newspaper Le Monde media, MoD comments provided to NV said.
The Ukrainian MoD will be represented by a delegation led by Ivan Havryliuk at the Artillery Coalition Launch in Paris on Jan. 18, the Ministry reported.
The Defense Minister’s visit was reportedly postponed in advance due to his taking part in events at the headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief yesterday. Umerov will take part in the Artillery Coalition launch remotely.
The Ukrainian and French Ministries are currently working to set a new date for his visit.
